Youth Center

This grant will serve the at-risk youth in Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York. There is an extreme disconnect between the youth and New York Police Department (NYPD) community workers. The purpose of this grant is to educate the spirit, mind, and body of youth, while fostering relationships between the NYPD and New York City youth. The program services ages 12-21, and is gender inclusive. The Youth Center offers a computer tech lab, coaching instruction for boxing, health and fitness, diet, nutrition, yoga, tutoring, resume building, mock interviews, civil service test prep for exams for city jobs, college applications assistance, and assistance with scholarship applications.
