Sierra County Children's Advocacy Center

La Piñon Sexual Assault Recovery Services of Southern New Mexico aims to establish the Sierra County Children’s Advocacy Center, focusing on trauma-informed practices and best practices in child advocacy. The center will conduct forensic interviews and provide case management for children suspected of suffering abuse or maltreatment in Sierra County. Expected outcomes include strengthening a multi-disciplinary team to handle child abuse investigations effectively, offering comprehensive support to children and their non-offending families. Children aged 2-17 and their caregivers in Sierra County are the primary beneficiaries of this initiative.
