LIVE FREE: Reducing gun-related shootings

Live Free with Community Initiatives as their fiscal sponsor will build and sustain the Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Infrastructure and Intermediary Capacity of Live Free organizations and partners committed to racial equity and reimagining public safety. This initiative focuses on community-led disruption of cycles of violence in the CA communities served. Project Goals include: implementing community-led public safety solutions alongside key stakeholders in CA communities; engaging youth and young adult storytellers and culture makers, raising awareness and confidence to intervene in the cycles of violence through peace-driven non-police interventions; develop, replicate, and evaluate effective models and practices for the community to lead violence prevention and intervention efforts; and reduce gun violence in black and brown communities in CA communities served.
