The Los Angeles Urban League proposes the Transitional-Age Youth Mentoring and Career Development Project to provide evidence-based mentoring, employment programs, and wrap-around services for youth and young adults aged 16 to 29 in greater Los Angeles, particularly those at risk or with a history of system involvement. Project activities include referrals from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services to the Workforce Development Program, career readiness and life skills training, enrollment in vocational training in construction/trades, healthcare, and entertainment industries, and job placement support.
