Families and Youth, Inc. proposes implementing Integrated Multitiered School-Based Systems of Support in Southern New Mexico. The purpose is to develop comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, trauma-informed, and best practices school-based violence reduction strategies in three target schools within Las Cruces Public Schools. Project activities include implementing evidence-based multi-tiered interventions to address school violence; developing and implementing school-based collaborative case management and crisis team coordination; enhancing School Safety Plans aligned with individualized school needs and populations. Expected outcomes include enhancing multi-disciplinary school safety and crisis teams to address the school violence needs of students in the proposed schools; provision of evidence-based interventions; reduction in recidivism in school violence; and regular program quality improvements.
