FY2023 Juvenile Justice PREA Reallocation Program

The Wisconsin Department of Justice as the State Administering Agency for the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Grant, will be the grantee of the Prison Rape Elimination Act funds. They will sub-grant these funds totaling $15,568 to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, the designated state Prison Rape Elimination Act contact agency. The project will be managed by the Prison Rape Elimination Act Director of the Wisconsin Department of Justice, who is responsible for agency Prison Rape Elimination Act compliance purchase. The Wisconsin Department of Corrections will install video monitoring technology at Lincoln Hills/Copper Lake Schools and The Grow Academy based upon auditor feedback to remedy blind spots, supplement direct supervision, mitigate opportunities for sexual abuse and improve safety. The agency will also purchase education materials, including posters, first responder cards, and education acknowledgment signature pads.
