Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $1,009,344)
The Arizona Juvenile Justice Commission (AJJC) and the Arizona Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) are committed to continuing collaboration and coordination efforts within Arizona's juvenile justice system. The overall intent of the AJJC is to uphold the core requirements of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquecny Prevention Act (JJDPA). Arizona is committed to supporting a seamless continuum of delinquency prevention, intervention, and accountablity services. Through Title II funding, GOYFF supports state and federal resources to respond appropriately and effectively to the needs of at-risk and delinquent youth and their families while promoting public safety.
To achieve these goals, the GOYFF, in partnership with the AJJC, will distribute the 2023 award across several program areas, including delienquency prevnetion, community-based programming, tribal programs, and compliance monitoring. The state will also continue to support monitoring of the progress towards achieving the goals descibred in the 3-Year Plan.
Arizona remains unwavering in its duty to uphold the ore principles of the JJDP Act. Through thoughtful and claculated efforts outlined in the 3-Year Plan, the state will continue its work to facilitate and support positive outcomes for youth, families, and communities.
