Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $896,785)
The Enhancing Family Treatment Court project seeks to build court capacity and enhance substance use treatment through collaboration with providers, enhancement of the certified peer recovery program, and development of an Early Intervention Family Treatment Court to ensure that children, parents, and families receive the best possible outcomes. By expanding the certified peer recovery program with the addition of a peer recovery specialist and a licensed Family Treatment Court clinician, services to children, parents, and families will be stronger and more effective. This project will track the number of youths in temporary placement, how long children are in temporary placement, and the number of children returned to their parent/caregiver. The project is expected to result in a decline in the number of youths in temporary placement, a reduction of time youth spend in temporary placement, and a higher number of children returned to their parent/caregiver.
