Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $746,140)
The Juvenile Reentry Employment Project (JREP) aims to address juvenile reentry needs and increase their prosocial strengths. Deliverables include vocational training, employment assistance, and intensive wraparound case management. Specifically, reentry youth will gain access to supportive services such as housing and transportation and participate in training certification programs to increase employability in profitable markets. This project is a joint effort between the North Carolina Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (DJJDP) and local community college partners and reentry experts.
