Family Wellness - BEYOND

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Psychiatry – Substance Abuse Division provides a full continuum of interventions for families impacted by substance use designed to address child and family well-being. The proposed project, Family Wellness BEYOND, builds upon these existing services and will (1) provide peer support services to up to 25 youth impacted by opioids and other substances per year over the life of the grant; (2) provide case management services; and (3) develop a Youth and Family Advisory Council Committee that elevates the leadership, expertise, and lived experiences of youth and families into actionable change.
