Enhancing Youth Defender Services in Los Angeles County

The primary goal of the Enhancing Youth Defender Services Project in Los Angeles County is to implement youth defense delivery system enhancements that strengthen and improve the practice countywide through a number of focused initiatives. The project will strengthen youth defense by filling existing gaps and needs in Los Angeles County’s indigent defender offices’ holistic youth defense delivery model, specialized training and professional development opportunities, community outreach, and existing racial and ethnic disparities.
