The Waterbury Police Activity League consists of many programs for youth including co-ed flag football ages 6-14, soccer ages 4-14, co-ed cheerleading ages 4-15, co-ed basketball ages 4-6, boys basketball ages 7-17, girls basketball ages 7-14, holiday chorus ages 8-14, unified Special Olympics ages 8-18, boys baseball ages 7-14, girls softball ages 7-14, co-ed t-ball ages 4-6, co-ed golf ages 8-14, co-ed swimming ages 4-16, karate, culinary program, Youth Employment Program, Summer Camps, Homework Haven, Mentoring, landscaping, gardening, tutoring, river brigade, shovel brigade, and sports management. Each program provides youth a safe haven to participate in activities while receiving education to better themselves, stay out of trouble, and to have fun. This directly impacts the community by aiding in crime reduction of juveniles and building relationships between law enforcement and the community.

OBJECTIVES

Continue to instill a sense of citizenship and civic mindedness to the members of PAL.
Continue Community Outreach at local events about PAL membership.
Continue to enable all young people, regardless of race, religion, income or handicap to reach full potential.
Maintain programming.

DELIVERABLE

Provide programs and activities to youth (i.e. basketball, baseball, karate, swimming, et cetera).
Building bridges through programs (i.e. homework haven program, et cetera.)
Provide supplies needed for all programs offered so all children can participate regardless of socio-economic status.
Submit required data for financial and performance reports.
