Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $324,000)
The Camden based community organization proposes to expand its current services for youth that are at-risk, on a detention alternative or on probation. It will expand its community program to serve additional youth. The purpose of the program is to provide prevention, intervention, mental health and other support services for youth in order to maintain public safety, increase youth court appearances, reduce the number of youth incurring new charges or violations, and increase the number of youth who successfully complete probation or a detention alternative. The program works with Camden County Juvenile Probation, Juvenile Court, the Camden County Youth Service Commission, New Jersey Department of Children and Families, Children's System of Care, and other community-based organizations to identify additional workshops and service areas to assist the youth served.
