Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $333,263)
The goals of the North Dakota (ND) ICAC are to increase the ability to detect, investigate, apprehend, and prosecute internet predators. The task force enables law enforcement to continue their efforts to protect children from becoming victims, educate them, and apprehend and prosecute those responsible for internet crimes.
Using OJJDP dollars, the task force will achieve its goals and objectives by training new personnel, conducting investigations, performing digital forensics exams, prosecuting offenders, and working cooperatively with federal, state, and local colleagues. Additionally, the ND ICAC Task Force will continue developing and maintaining a sustainable internet safety education program to help inform children, parents, educators, and the community about staying safe when using the Internet. Progress will be measured through monthly and semi-annual reports as required by the Office of Justice Programs, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).
