The overarching goal for NW3C is to significantly augment the investigative, analytical, forensic, and prosecutorial proficiency of ICAC task forces in specialized topic areas related to technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation. To achieve this, NW3C plans to conceptualize, develop, and deliver multi-faceted training programs. This includes not only webinars and conference presentations but also hands-on training focusing on the forensically and legally sound collection, analysis, and presentation of evidence.
To enhance the scope and rigor of the training, NW3C will produce new curricula, including an advanced course in Linux forensics and a specialized program designed for prosecutors that delves into the foundations of digital evidence. Committed to fostering a collaborative ecosystem, NW3C will engage with existing partners and subject matter experts to continuously improve and expand existing curriculum. We will also provide timely technical assistance. This includes the creation and dissemination of templates and guides, proven practices, and investigative and forensic procedures; all with the objective to elevate the national standard for digital evidence recovery and technical investigative practice.
Furthermore, they will identify, develop, and deliver timely webinars on emergent topic areas, keeping the ICAC task forces informed of the latest technological criminal tradecraft and investigative techniques. All our activities will be in strict compliance with OJJDP guidelines and developed in coordination with their office.
