Specialized Forensics and Technology Training Project

To build the capacity of Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Forces and investigators to address technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation, Zero Abuse will implement the Specialized Forensics and Technology Training Project (Project). The Project will provide in-person and virtual experiential training and customized technical assistance related to forensics, digital evidence, and emerging technologies. Zero Abuse will conduct additional deliveries of OJJDP-approved in-person and virtual training on topics such as CyberTip Triage and Open-Source Intelligence; Cryptocurrency, Child Exploitation, and Dark Web Investigations; Cloud Forensics; Mobile. Vehicle, and Video Forensics; Virtual Reality and The Metaverse; and Search Warrants and Digital Evidence Seizure. Zero Abuse will also develop and deliver training courses on new topics in consultation with OJJDP and via requests by ICAC Commanders and investigators. Finally, Zero Abuse will provide customized technical assistance to support investigators and prosecutors as they address digital evidence in their cases. Zero Abuse will conduct a robust, multi-faceted marketing effort to publicize project deliverables and the availability of training and technical assistance and will participate in national ICAC conferences and events.
