Prison Rape Elimination Act Reallocation Funds FY 2021 2022

Oficina Para El Desarrollo Socioeconomico Y Comunitatrio will implement the Acquisition of material to Continue Staff Training and Offender Education Awareness of Sexual Victimization Program to ensure continual staff training of at least 45% of the employees of each institution who are in contact with male and female offenders (correctional officer’s juvenile’s, correctional officers, auditors, investigative agents, medical and mental health employees, contractor’s staff and volunteers). In addition, the project will provide offender education, promoting sexual abuse awareness in all institutions and educate the correctional population (adults and juveniles) about their rights under the PREA Law and procedures and mechanisms to be followed in sexual abuse reporting and to access victim services.
