Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $860,454)

The Butler County Family Treatment Drug Court (BCFTDC) will focus on families with parent or guardians who have had a dependency petition filed against them (or are at risk of such a filing) and have been identified as being drug or alcohol-dependent and unable to adequately parent a child due to their drug or alcohol usage.  By addressing the substance use issues of the parents the program help reduce the victimization of the children and impact the cycle of drug use in the family. BCFTDC will provide screening, assessment, case management/ recovery support services, peer recovery support services, and wraparound services for families referred into the court by Butler County Children Services (BCCS).
