Oklahoma Department of Corrections Second Chance Families- Reunifying Incarcerated Parents with Their Minor Children

The Oklahoma Department of Correction’s Second Chance Families program will use funding to improve services for incarcerated parents and their children by developing strategies that foster positive family engagement. These strategies help open opportunities for youth and include reunification visits and programming through the Girl Scouts Beyond Bars program, and support and advisory services through the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth (OCCY). They will work in partnership with the University of Oklahoma to assist with an evaluation for further statewide implementation.
