The District of Columbia Department of Corrections will use funding to implement positive family engagement strategies and activities that address the needs of incarcerated parents with minor children.  The DC Family Connections in Corrections Program capitalizes on reentry needs within the District and will engage with different population(s), and assist in establishing a plan for reentry. Incorporating all comprehensive reentry components into the proposed program will allow for a long-term collaboration with Case Management Staff, Officers, Program Staff, and Community-Based Organizations, which will ensure the residents in the District receive all the components necessary to thrive in the community.
