Georgia Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) will implement this grant program to continue and expand the Strengthening Families Program (SFP) for low-risk youth. In an effort to address the gap in services, funding from this grant will provide direct services for service providers or local counties to youth ages 12-17 who are first time offenders, diverted from the juvenile justice system, or charged with a status offense and identified as at-risk. Additionally, counties will be able to apply to fund up to 50% of a personnel position which will assist in addressing the need that many rural counties have with staff capacity.
