Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2021, $392,453)
In order to improve education outcomes for the 20,000 – 25,000 court-involved children across the Commonwealth, the Massachusetts Statewide Juvenile Advocacy Project will: (1) improve access to education advocacy support for juvenile attorneys across the state through a network of specialized education mentors in each juvenile courthouse; (2) create and monitor education advocacy training for juvenile attorneys and other juvenile justice professionals; and, (3) track education advocacy and outcomes provided through the education mentors and juvenile attorneys.
