The American Youth Policy Forum will host a Capitol Hill Forum to help develop a deeper understanding of how young people’s insights can improve federal policies.

Participants will learn about effective strategies, programs, and policies that include youth involvement in vital decision-making processes.

Speakers will include:

  • LaVontae Brooks, Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Representative Steven Horsford.
  • Kenvin Lacayo, AYPF Youth Policy Consultant and young advocate for education reform and youth empowerment.
  • Margarita Alegria, Ph.D., Chief of the Disparities Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital.

The speakers will share from their experiences and expertise, exploring specific, practical approaches to sustained engagement with young people at the federal level.
