These forums are open nationally to advocates who are involved in providing services to children served by children's advocacy centers (CACs). This includes victim advocates employed by a CAC, working at a partnering district attorney's office, and/or staff of a community-based organization.
Each forum starts in a large-group format to review a special topic relevant to victim advocacy, and then participants move to Zoom breakout rooms for small-group discussions and resource sharing. The meeting closes with all participants returning together in one large group for a Q&A with Regional CAC staff.
As a result of this forum, participants will:
- Gain foundational knowledge and skills for effective victim advocacy
- Apply learning to practice through peer discussions
- Connect with peers throughout the United States
