Many parents who have an opioid or other substance use disorder (OUD or SUD) will end up incarcerated due to their use. Once incarcerated, court procedures and policies will determine the nature and future of a parent who has an OUD or SUD's relationship with their children. This two-part series webinar will highlight the:
- Needs of children and families of recently incarcerated parents
- Experience of parenting while incarcerated
- Long-term impacts of maintaining relationships between children and their incarcerated parents
- Role of the courts in maintaining relationships between children and their incarcerated parents
