This webinar, hosted by the National District Attorney's Association (NDAA), will focus on recent technology trends (including artificial intelligence) and their impact, particularly on the proliferation of crimes involving sexually exploited youth and their investigations. Montana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigator Brian Cassidy will discuss how different online platforms operate, how users share content (such as suspicious images/files), and whether suspicious content gets reported on those platforms. He will also define and explain critical terminology used in the tech world, including the "dark web." The presentation will provide investigative resources that ICAC Task Forces can use to further an investigation and discuss how to implement them effectively. Attendees will gain a nuanced understanding of dangers for youth online and of the technologies being used to conceal and investigate those crimes.

OJJDP’s NTTAC will share registration information with NDAA for CLE credit purposes.
