This training provides an overview of how law enforcement and the community at large can combat recidivism and sexual violence by sex offenders. It covers sex offender registration and community notification, historical information on sex offender legislation, and case law. Other topics include sex offender profiles, how to incorporate a victim-centered approach, and treatment and supervision plans. The training is designed for community corrections officers, law enforcement, prosecutors, social workers, Tribes and Tribal partners, and victim service providers.
