OJJDP FY 10 Child Protection Division Fellowship Program on Childrens Exposure to Violence

The fellowship will provide an opportunity for professionals, practitioners, researchers, or trainers with expertise in children’s exposure to violence to help implement collaborative crossagency strategies, policies, and evidence-based practices across the services continuum and the developmental age spectrum for children and their families.

The Training and Technical Assistance for Child Abuse Prosecutors program will fund a national training and technical assistance program for attorneys and others involved in the criminal prosecution of child abuse in order to enhance the effectiveness of the investigation and prosecution of such crimes. This program is authorized under the Victims of Child Abuse (VOCA) Act 42 USC Section 13003.

This solicitation invites eligible applicants to propose the enhancement or expansion of initiatives that will assist in the development and maturity of community programs providing mentoring services to high-risk populations that are underserved due to location, shortage of mentors, special physical or mental challenges of the targeted population, or other analogous situations identified by the community in need of mentoring services.

OJJDP seeks to identify training providers to serve the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Program. The state and regional ICAC task forces work collaboratively as a national network of law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies that prevent, interdict, and investigate technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and Internet crimes against children. This Program furthers the Departments mission to provide training and support in this area of constantly-evolving technology.
