[This is not a toll-free number.] SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is a component of the Office of Justice Programs in the U.S. Department of Justice. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 204 (b)(5)(A) of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended, 42 U.S.C. ' 5601 et seq. (JJDP Act), the Administrator of OJJDP is publishing for public comment a Proposed Comprehensive Plan describing the program activities that OJJDP proposes to carry out during FY 1998. The Proposed Comprehensive Plan includes activities authorized in Parts C and D of Title II of the JJDP Act, codified at 42 U.S.C. ' 5651-5665a, 5667, 5667a. Taking into consideration comments received on this Proposed Comprehensive Plan, the Administrator will develop and publish a Final Comprehensive Plan describing the particular program activities that OJJDP intends to fund during FY 1998, using in whole or in part funds appropriated under Parts C and D of Title II of the JJDP Act. Notice of the official solicitation of grant or cooperative agreement applications under the Final Comprehensive Plan will be published at a later date in the Federal Register. No proposals, concept papers, or other forms of application should be submitted at this time.
