The annual commemoration of National Drug Court Month in May raises awareness about the central role drug courts play in empowering youth and families to lead drug- and crime-free lives. OJJDP supports the courts’ very important mission. Between fiscal years 2017 and 2019 alone, the Office awarded $50 million to establish and enhance juvenile drug treatment courts, family drug courts, and tribal juvenile healing to wellness courts across the country.
